Giving families a good start. For eight days, we are a lifeline for your family and we will do everything we can to provide you with the knowledge you need to care for yourself and your baby after the first maternity week.
We are here for our families
Whether you are on cloud nine or something unexpected happened: we are there for our families. Maternity care is very important for new parents; having a child is a life-changing event. That is why we do everything possible to make sure that the whole family can have a wonderful time. We do this with love and dedication at about 600 families per year
Personal and professional
The small team consists of qualified and enthusiastic maternity nurses with a passion for what they do and with a lot of experience in maternity care. The midwives of our Birth Centre and our maternity nurses work very closely together. They can rely on each other unwaveringly and under all circumstances and this is how we deliver the best care to our maternity families. Our maternity nurses do not wear a uniform and many families feel that it makes the care more intimate and personal.
Lactation Care and quality certification
The Maternity Services has the Zorg voor Borstvoeding certificate for breastfeeding advice and the HKZ quality certificate. It goes without saying that the quality of our maternity care is one of our core values and the fact that our clients also appreciate this is demonstrated by the care quality surveys: 87% of the respondents rate our care as being good to excellent.
Additional services
The maternity services unit of the Birth Centre Amsterdam is affiliated with De Kraamvogel. This means that clients of the Birth Centre can also use the additional services provided by De Kraamvogel. More information about these services can be found here.
